“Is this your personal home?” After having been asked this by multiple building inspectors across multiple homes, we couldn’t help but ask, “Why do you ask that? The answer was, “It seems like you are building it for yourself. It just seems like you care about everything.”

Intentional Craftsmanship tends to stand out. When a combination of skill, advanced knowledge, forethought, and diligence are woven together the results tend to just seem different. In the early years, Booras Builders self-performed every trade as a means of quality control and striving to build with intentional Craftsmanship; it is a lot easier to ensure all of the details are done exactly as you want when you are the one performing them. As Booras Builders has been blessed with growth over the years, our approach to quality control adjusted while our tolerance has not. We still self-perform numerous aspects of construction for each house and have employees that are skilled at each trade, while no longer self-performing all aspects. Internally, we have developed our own advanced specifications that we require to be adhered to for each aspect of construction. During the estimating and preconstruction phase, we generate project specific specifications and thorough internal checklists that are customized to each trade for each specific project. These specifications internally are utilized to develop our trade specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) program that we manage and verify before moving on from one trade to the next in construction. Throughout the construction industry, many general contractors or builders rely on their subcontractors to describe how they will do their work. While not undervaluing a subcontractor, this is not how Booras Builders operates. We describe, define, outline, specify, require, and verify the project’s specifications we develop for each trade. We always value any tradesmen’s ideas and experiences, but we also are intentional in the level of Craftsmanship that your project will receive by adhering to our own internal requirements.

Additionally, Booras Builders has its own custom woodworking shop. The custom homes we build often have some level of woodworking based on a client’s desires or style. We have the ability to help make your home feel a little extra yours.
