Our Process
As a Custom Home Builder, though there are many details and complexity to what we build, we strive to simplify the process for our Clients and make it as enjoyable as possible.
The Process is separated into two categories:
Pre-Construction
Construction
Functionally, these are the two sides of the old saying, “Plan the Work, Work the Plan.”
Pre-Construction starts the moment we first connect and continues through breaking ground for construction. As part of our process, we separate the Pre-Construction Phase into two parts: Pre-Contract and Post-Contract.
Pre-Contract.
The Pre-Contract time is an important time of listening, asking questions, developing or interpreting drawings and/or specifications, estimating, and providing a proposal for your new home.
Post-Contract.
After signing a contract, we will promptly begin the permitting process. During this time, we set up your Client Portal, and will host our first project meeting with you where we provide you with an organized and thorough understanding of how we will effectively communicate and manage your project. We will discuss topics such as
Navigating your Client Portal
Project Information transmission, storage, and organization
Project Schedule
Client Selections
Project Financials
Project Meetings
Weekly Client Updates
Pre-Construction
Once we break ground, we strive to keep you engaged along the way so that you can enjoy the Process. We will have Jobsite walk-thrus at key milestones, providing you with an opportunity to discuss the current progress together onsite and see some details before the next phase continues:
Pre-Excavation
Pre-Framing
Pre-MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Rough-ins
Pre-Insulation
Pre-Cabinetry
Pre-Countertops
Punchlist
Closing.
In addition to these onsite meetings, we provide Weekly Client Updates that include progress photos, progress descriptions, schedule updates, and a forecast of what lies ahead in the coming week. We will also have communication throughout the project, specifically as it relates to any Selections. Construction involves millions of details, but with a high level of planning and organization, it can be very enjoyable for you to watch your Home be built!
